Our Philosophy
At TurnLight Partners our motto is "Thoughtfully supporting your home.” Every aspect of restoring older homes requires a thoughtful approach. Restoration of older structures allows us to bring homes into the present while preserving the story they tell.
Historic preservation is important because historic buildings have been constructed with higher standards and higher-quality materials than structures built today, such as rare hardwoods (especially heart pine) and wood from old-growth forests that no longer exist. Preserving historic aspects of your home is also important from an investment perspective because homes with a thoughtfully preserved history sell for more money than those homes that have had their histories removed.
OUR SERVICES
Construction methods of the past are very different than those used on homes built today, so it is important to hire a firm that has appropriate experience with historic structures. We have extensive expertise remodeling homes built from late 1800s to the 1950s. This knowledge and experience will enable us to put together a plan that suits your home and budget.
